Year 2000 Compliance

INSCI appreciates the concern that our clients have regarding full preparedness for Year 2000 compliance. As such, all currently shipping versions of INSCI software are now Year 2000 compliant. INSCI also is providing customer technical support to ensure that all previously shipped and installed non-compliant versions of software are identified and the customer provided the opportunity to upgrade to compliant versions.

INSCI products that have been released as Year 2000 compliant include:

  • Advanced COINSERV 3.02; build 12 and above (Includes AIX, Solaris, Unisys, Unixware, HP)
  • WinCOINS; release 3.02 and above
  • WinCOINS 32 for Unix (all versions)
  • COINSCAN; release 2.1p9 and above
  • UNIX Client (all versions)
  • CICS Client; release 1.3 and above
  • AS400 Client (all versions)
  • Advanced COINScan; release 2 and above
  • WebCOINS for Unix (all versions)
  • COINSPOOL (all versions)
  • COINSflow (all versions)
  • Setup Expert (all versions)
  • COINSPDF (all versions)
  • COINSERV for Windows/NT (all versions)
  • WinCOINS32 for Windows/NT (all versions)
  • COINS-CD/NT; release 2.03 and above

Software Usage and Compliance

All the above-mentioned products/releases can be used with full confidence in meeting Year 2000 compliance requirements, provided that the following conditions are met:

  • The product is used in accordance with established guidelines and usage requirements outlined in the User's Guide
  • All complementary platforms and technologies provided by other manufacturers are Year 2000 compliant

New Product Releases

All new products and product upgrades currently being released by INSCI are Year 2000 compliant upon distribution.

Non-Compliant Products

Listed below are older versions of INSCI software that have not been scheduled for Year 2000 certification. All these products have either reached end-of-life or have been replaced by newer release versions of software. In all cases, a compliant upgrade path is available. These products include:

  • DOS client
  • CoinsVIEW (became obsolete upon release of WinCOINS3.02)
  • COINSERV 2.2
  • COINSERV for DG
  • COINS-CD (replaced by COINS-CD/NT for CD production)
