    • A new tool for the growing e-commerce marketplace, WebCOINS makes it easy to effectively distribute information via the Internet. Using Web browers, WebCOINS accesses archived documents in COINSERV digital document repositories through the Internet, Intranet or Extranet. By operating on a Web server, the WebCOINS client doesn't require custom workstation software or plug-ins.

    WebCOINS transforms intelligent data streams and merges form overlay displays on the Web server and sends the composed documents to the browser. Following a thin-client model, WebCOINS delivers archived documents in widely used formats, easily displayed by popular viewers. Plain-text files are transported in HTML, which is read by Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator/Communicator and other browers. Intelligent data streams adopt the Adobe PDF format. Browsers decode these documents with Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free, industry-standard viewer.
