    • COINSERV for Windows NT is a powerful, high-speed document archive and retrieval system that uses magnetic disk, RAID storage, high density, low cost optical discs in a client-server environment based on Microsoft Windows NT server. It is designed to maximize the processing power of the Windows NT Server through the use of its architectural features and a design that supports and utilizes multiprocessor enterprise-class systems. At the same time, it also utilizes the graphical user interface and monitoring capabilities of Windows NT environment to provide an exceptionally easy-to-use administrative interface and lights-out operation.

    The product is not a port of the UNIX-based Advanced COINSERV product, but rather a completely new design utilizing and supporting a Microsoft environment. COINSERV for Windows NT is a truly open product, making use of standard Microsoft components such as MS SQL Server, and does not rely on proprietary components.

    COINSERV for Windows NT incorporates the extensive document archive and retrieval experience gained from the UNIX-based product and incorporates many of its best features on this new platform. The market for products based on Windows NT is growing at over 100% per annum and digital document repository software in this area is expected to grow far faster than this. COINSERV for Windows NT is positioned to be a leader in this market.

    The product runs on PC based hardware running Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0. The WinCOINS32-bit client will be used as the retrieval client. Access from WebCOINS is also provided.
