COINS-CD
Efficient information distribution is becoming an important part of any document repository strategy. A smaller-scale CD based document repository tool, Windows NT-based COINS-CD software makes it possible to package and distribute archived documents and reports via CD-R to remote users, external customers, non-networked users or anyone who needs access to documents independent of a central document repository.
COINS-CD processes computer-generated output, either from magnetic tapes, file transfers or the main COINSERV document repository. The system reads, extracts, indexes and records the information on CD-R, including document pages, indexes and retrieval and viewing software.
By integrating automated CD-R production hardware, COINS-CD fully supports the Rimage Perfect Image Producer. In an automatic and unattended operation, COINS-CD can create multiple labeled CDs of varying content. This provides a larger-scale orientation rather than relying on individual manual CD recorders and printers. COINS-CD also supports the addition of full-text indexing and retrieval of documents. With this optional capability, users can efficiently search documents on the CD for any text in any location.
