WESTBOROUGH, MAJune 9, 1998--INSCI Corp (NASDAQ: INSI), a leading provider of software for enterprise-level electronic document management, announced the immediate commercial availability of technology to enable the use of Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) for easily viewing and printing documents archived with INSCI products. INSCI has licensed Adobeâ Acrobat software for integration and use with its WinCOINS32 viewing client, and with its COINSPDF forms overlay product.
The integration of Acrobat software provides seamless viewing and printing of PDF documents as well as plain-text documents with PDF-based form overlays that have been archived in INSCIs COINSERVÔ family of Windows NT- and UNIX-based digital document repository products. Customers can now provide their users and clients with retrieval, viewing and printing of stored documents in a visually appealing and easy-to-read display. The form overlay option enables customers to alter the appearance and re-purpose plain-text documents or information where appropriate.
