INSCI AND MEDIA KNOWLEDGE DECISIONS ANNOUNCE INTEGRATED BUSINESS PROCESS AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS SUITE FOR FINANCIAL SERVICES MARKET

WESTBOROUGH, MA (April 13, 1999). . . . INSCI Corp (Nasdaq:INSI) and Media Knowledge Decisions (MKD) of San Jose, CA, today jointly announced that the companies have reached an agreement to integrate INSCI's COINSflow workflow automation software into MKD's Integrated Enterprise Knowledge Management solutions suite. This solutions suite incorporates a comprehensive range of fully integrated business process automation applications to facilitate more efficient enterprise workflow processes, improved business communication, more responsive and timely customer service, more interactive and accurate decision-making processes, and robust reporting capabilities for higher levels of system and human resource performance. INSCI is an award-winning provider of digital storage, workflow, Internet and electronic commerce software products, and MKD is a leading provider of innovative customer management solutions.

According to INSCI Chairman and CEO E. While amenable to many industry sectors, the initial offering is targeted at the financial services industry including credit card services, banks and payroll services.

MKD President Helen T. McCullough said, "Our customers are seeking complete solutions for their business process requirements, which must incorporate the most advanced technologies and take advantage of the latest innovations in order to accommodate cost efficiencies and offer competitive advantages. After thorough and careful analysis of workflow products in the marketplace, we determined that INSCI's COINSflow open architecture and easy-to-use interfaces provide us exactly what we needed to build the foundation and satisfy the comprehensive requirements for our enterprise knowledge management suite."

"Partnering with MKD is a key strategic initiative for INSCI," stated INSCI President & COO Darryl R. Dobin. "This relationship gives us the opportunity to work with a leader in business process automation, with a sharp focus on financial services. Our overall software design architecture is ideally suited to the requirements of MKD and our current installations of COINSflow have demonstrated the strong functionality that's been incorporated into the software. Our newest COINSflow software release includes strong, multifaceted Web functionality which should prove advantageous to MKD and our mutual customers as they begin or continue to implement Internet and e-commerce applications."

The relationship between INSCI and MKD will provide customers with complete solutions to a full complement of major application requirements that include business process management, customer relationship management, dispute management, call processing, direct marketing, collections and decision support management. In addition to the enterprise workflow component, other technology enablers will include document and information management; Internet (Intranet and Extranet) access, viewing and delivery; e-mail; fax; and integrated voice response and call processing.
